Privacy Policy
Butgarak (the "App") is a music app that turns your drawings into Korean traditional music. The App is designed to be used without an account or sign-in. This policy explains what information the App handles and how it is protected.
1. Information we collect
The developer does not collect your personal information or send it to the developer's servers. The App has no developer-operated server and uses no advertising, analytics, or tracking tools.
2. Information stored only on your device
The following is stored only on your device so the App can work, and is never transmitted:
- Your drawings (scores), their thumbnails, and your last session
- App settings (scale, rhythm, tempo, visible instruments, notation options, etc.)
- Whether you purchased Pro (cached so it works offline)
This data is deleted when you delete the App. If you use your device's backup feature, it may be included in your own backup according to the operating system's policy.
3. Microphone
The App uses the microphone, with your permission, only when you use "Draw by humming".
- The audio is analyzed on your device only to detect pitch and turn it into a score.
- Recordings are not saved and never transmitted; they are discarded from memory after analysis.
- You can turn off microphone access at any time in your device settings; all other features keep working.
4. Importing and exporting files
Importing work files (.gugak) or MIDI files and exporting video, audio, or work files only involve files you choose. Sharing uses your device's share feature; afterwards, the app you choose handles the file under its own policy.
5. In-app purchase
"Butgarak Pro" purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. The developer does not receive your name, payment method, or card details. The App contacts the store only to verify your purchase, which is why it uses internet access. Payment data is handled under each store's privacy policy:
6. Sharing with third parties
Because the developer does not collect personal information, none is shared with or entrusted to third parties.
7. Children
The App does not collect personal information from anyone, of any age.
8. Your rights
The developer holds no personal information about you, so there is nothing to access, correct, or delete on our side. You can remove drawings and settings stored on your device at any time within the App or by deleting the App.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the update here with a new effective date, and announce significant changes through an app update as well.
